  • Invitation for the Third Global Conference on the History of Risk and Insurance

    We are pleased to invite you to the Third Global Conference on the History of Risk and Insurance, taking place on July 3-4, 2025, in Warsaw. This event offers a unique opportunity for scholars, experts, and practitioners from the insurance industry around the world to come together. It will provide a platform for sharing research findings and engaging in discussions on the latest challenges and trends in the insurance sector.

    The conference will focus on business contexts, including local insurance markets, various risk prevention strategies, and the interactions between local and international insurance companies. The program will also address social and ethnic patterns in insurance markets, as well as the evolving perceptions of risk across different geographical and cultural contexts, particularly with the rise of modern technologies such as artificial intelligence.

    The agenda features a series of academic presentations and discussion panels, led by distinguished scholars and industry experts. As an interdisciplinary event, it aims to bring together researchers from various fields who are interested in the global history of insurance. Participants will have the opportunity to explore cutting-edge research, exchange ideas, and establish collaborative relationships.

    The conference is organized by the Department of Risk and Insurance at the Warsaw School of Economics, in partnership with the Department of Insurance at the Poznań University of Economics.

  • Third Annual Conference of the Eastern European Risk and Insurance Association

    The Third Annual Conference of the Eastern European Risk and Insurance Association (EERIA) will be held on September 19-21, 2024, and organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb, Croatia.

    Segmented into three parts, it will consist of a keynote speaker session, panel discussion, and research paper session. Respective and high-level keynote speakers and panelists from academia, regulatory bodies, and the insurance industry will take part at the conference. Papers presented will mostly include those submitted by individuals.

    Who Should Submit

    Academics, doctoral students, government and non-governmental agency personnel, regulators, professionals, and other researchers are encouraged to submit a proposal to present their best research. Papers closely related to risk and insurance are welcome. Specific research areas are provided in the Call for Papers.

    What to Submit

    Submitted executive summaries should be up to 3 pages focused on the purpose, expected results, and the importance of the research. Each executive summary will be peer-reviewed and given an overall score of acceptance. Submissions must be made electronically at: conference@eeria.org

  • Second Annual Conference of the Eastern European Risk and Insurance Association

    The Second Annual Conference of the Eastern European Risk and Insurance Association (EERIA) will be in the period September 24-26, 2023 organized by Poznań University of Economics and Business and SGH Warsaw School of Economics. The conference will take place onsite at the Poznań University of Economics and Business in Poznań, Poland.
